The Kimberley

Finally, the Kimberley. We made it to the top end!

There are lovely boab trees everywhere in this area. We stopped to eat lunch at a picnic area near the highway where there was an absolutely massive one! It must have been 400 years old! We ate lots of cauliflower and headed off. The flies are pretty pesky in this area, and one lodged itself in my throat. It took me a few minutes to realize it was still stuck in there, until i chocked. Jonny caught it on video, of course.

We drove until about 430, and checked into the caravan park where Carole, Kerry and I stayed on our roadtrip, in Fitzroy Crossing.

Right after checking in, we visited Geike gorge. We took some videos and saw some neat looking roos. They had a thick black lines on they’re face, and made them look like they were wearing makeup.

It was a fun day, and we finally got what we wanted: a shower.
