When is that boat arriving?

We dropped by the port, which was real mayhem, and tried to figure out when the ‘Kathryn Bay’ was arriving. After asking around, I found some guys from the shipping company. They didn’t seem quite sure, and they seemed to be really busy. I soon found out that Monday was All-Saints day, and Timor- Leste being strictly Catholic, everybody had the day off.

That meant that everybody was trying to get everything cleared by customs and out of the port before it shut down for three days.

One of the guys advised that we should drop by the SDV Offices. As everything is within walking distances in Dili, we strolled over there in 20 minutes. At the offices, everybody seemed even less sure of when the boat was arriving. It was coming in sometime between saturday and monday.

One thing was for sure, with the holiday on Monday, we will probably not be able to clear customs with the car until Tuesday. Yay for hanging out in Dili!

We had some drinks and stayed up late, kind of celebrating Haloween. I guess we all got dressed up as ourselves?
